Overview

Kinematic viscosity is the single most frequently measured property of fuels and lubricants, and the measurement is only as good as the bath holding the sample. RIGO has built viscosity measuring systems for more than forty years, and its PID temperature control holds stability within ±0.01 °C below 100 °C and ±0.03 °C from 100 °C to 180 °C. The range runs from dedicated glass viscometers and the 403/404/405 baths through to the VMC holder-type systems and the fully automatic VMR series, which samples, thermostats, measures and washes without operator intervention. Measurements follow JIS K2283, ASTM D445/D446 and ISO 3104/3105, with selectable calculation formulae for kinematic, relative, intrinsic and inherent viscosity.
