Automatic Viscometer Cleaner: RVC-06C / RVC-06U

Overview

The RVC-06 is an automatic washing and drying unit for capillary viscometers, used mainly for petroleum products (mineral oils). The RVC-06C is configured for Cannon-Fenske and Cannon-Fenske reverse-flow viscometers, while the RVC-06U is configured for Ubbelohde viscometers. Tilting the viscometer insertion port toward the operator allows the tube to be loaded without spilling residual liquid, and a drip tray beneath the unit catches any sample or solvent that is spilled. The insertion port uses a flared, fluorine-rubber fitting that makes inserting and removing the viscometer easy, and the operator can select from three cleaning patterns or customize the cleaning time and number of cycles.

Spill-Safe Loading

Tilting the viscometer insertion port toward the operator lets the tube be seated without spilling any residual sample or solvent. A drip tray positioned beneath the unit catches spills should they occur, protecting the surrounding bench area.

Easy Insertion and Removal

The insertion port uses a flared fitting made of fluorine rubber, which makes inserting and removing the viscometer straightforward and reduces the risk of tube breakage during handling.

Selectable and Customizable Cleaning Patterns

Operators can choose from three preset cleaning patterns, and the cleaning time and number of cycles within each pattern can be adjusted to match the sample type. This flexibility allows the cleaner to be tuned for different levels of contamination or different oil viscosities.
