In-Situ SEM Testing Modules
In-situ modules mount on the SEM stage like an ordinary specimen holder, letting you watch a material deform, fracture or react at high magnification rather than inferring what happened from before-and-after images.

Overview
A conventional mechanical test tells you when a material failed but not how, because the microscope only sees the specimen after the event. Kammrath & Weiss modules move the experiment into the chamber: the tensile and compression module applies loads up to 10 kN while the microscope records crack initiation, slip band formation and fracture as they occur. The transfer module addresses a different problem, carrying air-sensitive and moisture-sensitive specimens in a sealed capsule between a glove box and the SEM so that they never meet the atmosphere. Both install on the specimen stage in minutes, and are used in metallurgy, composites research and battery materials work.

Models

Kammrath & Weiss Tensile/Compression Module
In-situ tensile and compression testing inside the SEM chamber, for metals, ceramics, glass, coatings and welded joints.

Kammrath & Weiss Transfer Module
Two battery-buffered controllers are supplied, one for use at the SEM and one for use inside the glove box, so no modifications to the glove box itself are required.
