Existent Gum Testing Apparatus
Existent gum is the non-volatile residue left when a fuel evaporates — an indicator of oxidation and contamination that can foul injectors and intake valves. RIGO's vertical apparatus determines it by jet evaporation for five samples at once.

Overview
Gasoline and aviation fuels degrade in storage, forming gums that deposit in fuel systems and on intake valves. The existent gum test measures the residue directly: a measured sample is evaporated under a controlled jet of air or superheated steam at a set temperature, and the remaining residue is weighed. RIGO's REG-05S is a vertical design that occupies less bench space than conventional testers, takes five beakers at once, and includes an integral draft. It meets ASTM D381, IP 131, ISO 6246 and JIS K2261.
