Overview
The Forensic line consists of SEMOPTICS-branded Gunshot Residue (GSR) samplers and kits, purpose-built adhesive-surfaced SEM mounts used to lift and preserve gunshot residue particles from a suspect's hands, face, clothing, or hair for later SEM-EDS analysis. Each sampler is a 1 in (25.4 mm) adhesive SEM mount fitted with a precision plastic cover printed with a serial number and space to record the sampling location, supporting chain-of-custody documentation for case work and courtroom acceptance. The product is offered as an individual Sampler Unit as well as bundled Basic, Full, and Pro Sampler Kits that add collection and packaging accessories for complete evidence-handling workflows. Recovered residue amount depends on the firearm type, caliber, ammunition, and environmental conditions at the time of discharge.
Kit Options
The line includes a standalone GSR Sampler Unit plus Basic, Full, and Pro Sampler Kits, each bundling the adhesive mount with different levels of collection and documentation accessories for evidence technicians.
Packaging & Documentation
