Manufacturer: Spectra-Physics — USA

Overview

The Explorer One is the most compact series of UV and green diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) Q-switched lasers in its class. Its It's in the Box design combines a very compact air-cooled build, short pulse width, high peak power, and feature-rich software into a single package for ease of use and fast integration. Beyond precision manufacturing, Explorer One lasers support scientific applications including MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry and laser microdissection, alongside LiDAR and industrial marking and micromachining uses.

Three Platforms

Explorer One is available on three platforms: the standard platform delivering up to 800 mW at 355 nm and 2 W at 532 nm, high energy models with pulse energies exceeding 180 µJ at 532 nm, and the extended power XP and high power HP platforms reaching more than 6 W at 355 nm.

Advanced Software Controls

E-Pulse pulse energy control and the E-Track dynamic pulse energy control feature actively measure and stabilize output energy and power even under rapidly changing operating conditions, with single-pulse energy measurement available up to 500 kHz.
