919P Thermopile Sensors

Overview

Newport has a full range of 919P Series Thermopile Detectors for measuring high power lasers between µW to 5 kW output. They feature broadband flat spectral response from 0.19 to 11 µm, are insensitive to beam position, and include NIST-traceable calibration. The series is ideal for measuring average power of high power lasers or broadband sources across a wide selection of sensor sizes and absorber coatings.

Absorption over Broad Wavelength Range

Newport thermopile sensors use four different types of coatings; the broadband BB type used in most 919P models has excellent absorption throughout the responsive wavelength range, while CM and SV types are used mainly with high repetition lasers with ultra-short pulses.

NIST Traceability

Each 919P thermopile sensor includes a DB15 connector and internal EEPROM for storing factory calibration data, with most sensors calibrated at 532 nm, 1070 nm, and 10.6 µm, and annual recalibration recommended.
