The Excelsior One is a new line of UV, visible, and near-IR CW lasers based on Spectra-Physics' It's in the Box design, combining the laser head and controller into a single compact package. Available as free-space and fiber-coupled lasers across twelve different wavelengths, Excelsior One delivers up to 500 mW of average power using both direct diode and diode-pumped solid state (DPSS) laser technology in a common mechanical footprint. Excelsior One lasers are widely used in flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, micro-array readers, laser-induced fluorescence, Raman spectroscopy, DNA sequencing, and interferometry.
One Platform for 12 Wavelengths
Excelsior One offers visible wavelengths at 473, 515, 532, 542, and 561 nm through patented frequency-doubling DPSS techniques, plus direct diode wavelengths at 375, 405, 445, 488, 642, and 785 nm, and 1064 nm at the fundamental, all with an RS-232 software interface for laser power control.
Fiber-Coupled Versions
Fiber-coupled Excelsior One lasers use single-mode, polarization-maintaining fiber terminated with an FC/APC connector, offering outstanding power stability and a polarization extinction ratio below -30 dB over the operating temperature range.
