Specifications

EYEPIECES

SWF 10x/22 mm wide field eyepieces with adjustable diopter. Ø 30 mm tubes.

HEAD

Binocular head with 45° inclined tubes or binocular ergo head with 5-35° tilting tubes. Interpupillary distance of 48 to 75 mm. Optional side photo port with 100-0/0-100 beamsplitter.

NOSEPIECE

Revolving quintuple nosepiece on ball-bearings.

OBJECTIVES - 60 mm PARFOCAL, M25 THREAD

Objectives with 1.2 mm coverslip correction and objectives with adjustable coverslip correction. Fluarex™ objectives are made of low-absorption glass. Fluarex™ is a trademark of Euromex microscopen bv. All optics are anti-fungus treated and anti-reflection coated for maximum light throughput.

STAGE

• 170 x 250 mm stage with 129 x 83 mm mechanical X-Y stage
• Supplied with metal insert for Ø 65 glass plate and universal cell culture dish holder (AI.9569)
• Optional metal inserts, Ø 35, Ø 54 and Ø 90 mm cell culture dish holder with 27x26 mm slide holder
• Optional metal insert for Multiwell plates (127.76 x 85.48 mm) (AI.9517)

CONDENSERS

• WD (Working distance): 75 mm, without condenser: 187 mm
• The condenser can be removed to increase WD (178), allowing multilayered culture flasks
• With slot for phase contrast/embossed contrast/Hoffman contrast sliders

For AI.1xxx and AI.3xxx models: Condenser N.A. 0.30 with iris diaphragm. WD 75 mm, without condenser: 187 mm.

For AI.4xxx models: Height adjustable Köhler condenser N.A. 0.30 with iris diaphragm and 3 filter holders and shutter function. Mounted on a backwards tilting illumination column allowing easy access to samples and placement of multilayered culture flasks, without removing the condenser.

FOCUS ADJUSTMENT

• Coaxial 37.5 mm coarse and fine adjustments with 200 graduations
• Precision 1 μm, 0.2 mm per rotation
• Fine focus knobs are left/right interchangeable

ILLUMINATION

• Transmitted 3W NeoLED™ illumination with adjustable intensity
• Internal power supply 100-240 V (CE). Fuse 500 mA 250 Vac

FLUORESCENCE

For models with fluorescence LED light source. LED epi-fluorescence attachment with 365, 485 and 525 nm LED. Supplied with standard long pass filter cubes:

• Blue excitation EX: 460-495 nm BS: 505 nm EM: 510 nm LP (AI.9745)
• Green excitation EX: 510-550 nm BS: 570 nm EM: 575 nm LP (AI.9746)
• UV excitation EX: 330-385 nm BS: 410 nm EM: 420 nm (AI.9748)

ROTATING FLUORESCENCE FILTER WHEEL

Fluorescence models are supplied with 3 cubes with fluorescence filters for Blue, Green and UV excitation.

SMART LIGHT CONTROL

This intelligent function:

• memorizes the light intensity level for each objective
• increases comfort
• saves valuable time during routine magnification shifts
• includes a sleep function

NeoLED

The innovative NeoLED™ design is a combination of a custom LED and a specially designed thin lens with a short focal length. Four main benefits:

• More oblique light from the NeoLED™ light source, which increases the light output significantly
• Less energy is required to achieve this level of light intensity
• The larger aperture of NeoLED™ allows the optical system of the microscope to produce images at higher resolutions, very close to the theoretical diffraction limit of the optics
• Super long life span, up to 50.000 hrs nominal, L70 norm

Objectives with adjustable coverslip correction
