DNBSEQ-E25
The DNBSEQ-E25 is a compact, portable next-generation sequencing system that delivers up to 7.5 Gb of data in around 20 hours using DNBSEQ™ self-luminescent dye chemistry, a microfluidic chip, and an integrated CMOS detection module — bringing accessible sequencing to the lab or the field.

Manufacturer: MGI — Latvia
Overview
The DNBSEQ-E25 is a compact, portable next-generation sequencing system engineered for versatility and efficiency, enabling sequencing anywhere — from lab settings to remote locations. Using DNBSEQ™ technology with self-luminescent dye chemistry, a microfluidic chip, and an integrated CMOS detection module, it delivers up to 7.5 Gb of data in around 20 hours. The E25 provides a high-performance, flexible solution for on-site genomic research without traditional laboratory constraints.
Core DNBSEQ™ Sequencing Technology
DNBSEQ™ Technology combines DNA nanoball (DNB) rolling-circle amplification with patterned array loading and combinatorial probe-anchor synthesis (cPAS). Because each DNB is a clonal copy that does not amplify during sequencing, the chemistry avoids the error accumulation, index hopping, and duplication of bridge-amplification platforms, delivering high accuracy with low duplication rates. All MGI sequencers can run as standalone systems from sample to result without any network connection, keeping data fully secure.
Key Highlights
Data output of 2.5 Gb to 7.5 Gb per run with read lengths from SE100 to PE150.
Self-luminescent dye chemistry with a microfluidic chip and integrated CMOS detection module removes the need for bulky optics.
Compact, standalone, and portable — designed for accessible, on-the-go sequencing without compromising data quality.
Run time of approximately 20 hours.
Applications
Small whole-genome sequencing of microbes and viruses, targeted gene sequencing, targeted gene expression, 16S metagenomic sequencing, and pathogen detection in decentralized or field settings.
Data Security and Bioinformatics
Every MGI platform can operate as a standalone system from sample to result with no network connection, eliminating the risk of data breaches. On the analysis side, MGI's bioinformatics accelerators speed up secondary analysis: MegaBOLT reduces computational delays by up to 20 times over classical algorithms, and ZBOLT Pro, the ultra-high-performance version, achieves up to a 200 times increase in data analysis speed.
