This line groups specialty mounting adhesives designed specifically for temporarily or semi-permanently fixing specimens for SEM and grid preparation work.

Manufacturer: SPI Supplies — USA
Overview
This line groups specialty mounting adhesives designed specifically for temporarily or semi-permanently fixing specimens for SEM and grid preparation work. Products include the Quick "G" grid coating pen, SPI-Tac liquid adhesive mountant and thinner for general specimen adhesion, and thermoplastic mounting compounds Leit-C-Plast (conductive) and Tempfix (non-conductive) that soften on a hot plate to embed a specimen and then re-harden on cooling. These let a specimen be released and repositioned, which is useful for delicate or irregularly shaped SEM samples.
Thermoplastic Mounting Compounds
Leit-C-Plast, a conductive carbon-filled plastic, and Tempfix are heated to soften, used to mount a specimen, and re-harden on cooling. This allows repositioning or recovery of the specimen without a permanent adhesive bond.
Liquid & Pen Adhesives
SPI-Tac liquid adhesive mountant, with a matched thinner, and the Quick "G" grid coating pen provide brush-on or pen-applied mounting adhesive for grids and small specimens. These are used where a light, controllable adhesive layer is needed.
