Overview
The metallography supplies line provides mounting resins, polishing compounds, and abrasive discs and cloths for preparing materials-science samples to the very high surface-finish standards required for SEM and light-microscope metallography. Because electron metallography requires both high resolution and clean chemical analysis, these products are selected to leave minimal residue or contamination during polishing. The range is organized into three groups: mounting supplies for encapsulating samples, polishing compounds for progressive abrasive finishing, and abrasive discs and polishing cloths for the final surface stages.
Mounting Supplies
Resins and hardware for encapsulating metallographic samples prior to grinding and polishing are supplied for both hot and cold mounting workflows. This gives the sample a stable, handleable form for the subsequent polishing steps.
Polishing Compounds and Abrasive Discs/Cloths
Diamond and other polishing compounds are paired with abrasive discs and polishing cloths for progressive fine-to-mirror surface finishing. Products are chosen to minimize contaminating residue for subsequent SEM imaging or microanalysis.
