Overview

The compact, midrange SPECTROGREEN ICP-OES analyzer brings innovation, versatility, and affordability to a wide array of routine laboratory analyses. It delivers ultra-reliable, accurate analyses – trace as well as higher concentrations – of everything from challenging matrices such as certain wastewaters, soils, and sludges to organic, high-salts, and metal samples. The results are excellent for routine elemental analyses in environmental and agronomy, consumer product safety, pharmaceutical, chemical and petrochemical, and food laboratories.

Three Versions for Maximum Versatility

SPECTROGREEN TI offers a proven twin-interface approach, automatically combining both axial and radial plasma views to optimize sensitivity, linearity, and dynamic range while avoiding matrix effects like EIE. SPECTROGREEN DSOI features the unique radial dual side-on interface, which provides twice the sensitivity of conventional radial views and equals the sensitivity of newer vertical-torch dual-view systems while avoiding their complexity. SPECTROGREEN SOP furnishes a dedicated radial, single side-on interface for stability and precise performance where the added sensitivity of the DSOI is not needed.

DSOI: Double the Performance Without Sacrificing Simplicity

The DSOI's two optical interfaces capture emitted light from both sides of a vertical plasma with only a single extra reflection. This avoids the significant light loss, interferences, contamination, and thermal stressing of interface components presented by some vertical-torch dual-view models. It averages twice the sensitivity of a conventional radial-view model across the whole spectral range from 165 nm to 770 nm, and the entire wavelength range is covered in a single analysis – a critical advantage for high-productivity laboratories.

Stability, Precision, and Power

Thermal stabilization of the optical system above room temperature eliminates the need for sub-zero cooling, and state-of-the-art low-noise linear-array CMOS detectors avoid any blooming effect, allowing accurate measurement of trace concentrations even near very intense matrix lines. The latest LDMOS 1700 W generator helps analyze difficult sample matrices in lower dilutions to lower limits of detection, stays cool without external cooling, and delivers fast warmup, often in less than 10 minutes. SPECTRO's GigE readout system enables full-spectrum transport in less than 100 milliseconds for shorter sample-to-sample times.

Clean, Compact Design with Low Cost of Ownership

All sample introduction components are readily visible and accessible along a short, optimized fluid path, and the instrument occupies less benchtop depth than any other ICP analyzer, with space in front for an autosampler. Innovative UV-PLUS technology delivers no-purge savings averaging $3,000 per year, and no added cooling is required, eliminating expensive, breakdown-prone external chillers.

Upgraded, Easy Software

SPECTRO ICP Analyzer Pro operating software delivers streamlined workflows backed by a modular plug-in architecture, with processing speeds up to 1500x faster than previous database systems. Specific protocols such as U.S. EPA 200.7, CLP ILM 5.3, and CLP ISM 2.3 are included, and version and user management combined with excellent audit-trail functionality makes the analysis process fully transparent and traceable.
