experienced in installing Spectrometers like MS, OES, XRF, NMR as well as Laboratory Environmental
setup and sample preparation systems. We are also well-known for supplying the best petroleum product
testing equipment in the country.
• We are searching for a competent engineer for our Electron Microscope Service Team.

Job Description

• The Service Engineer is an entry to mid-level position requiring a strong background in electronics and
mechanics. Success in this role requires a strong dedication to learning and the rapid absorption of training
material as a high percentage of their time will be spent in technical training courses both domestic and
international. Learning of basic application principles is also a requirement to provide technical service.
When not in classroom training the service engineer will be engaged in on-the-job- training, working closely
with, and assisting senior service engineers and service managers. This is a customer-facing role and
therefore strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively are required to be successful.
Excellent time management skills are a must in order to be a successful Service Engineer. As the training
progresses the Service Engineer will be assigned basic task and service orders to complete on their own.
• The Service engineer will be stationed mainly at the company head office in Baridhara Diplomatic Zone,
Dhaka. However, travelling all over Bangladesh to provide service support to customer will be necessary.
The service engineer must be ready to go to anywhere in Bangladesh within hours’ notice and stay for an
extended period of time if required.
Job Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot complex Electron Microscope equipment.
• Ability to make technically complicated equipment repairs.
• Ability to perform needed column adjustments and repair including replacing filaments, performing
Electron Microscope column exchange, replacing turbo pumps and performing necessary column
cleaning protocol.
• Maintain systems to achieve the contractually obligated equipment uptime performance.
• Report all tool actions/events and daily activities in service reports.
• Communicate tool and site issues to customers and 2nd level support; follow up to achieve resolution
of customer’s open issues.
• Schedule and perform all tool Preventative Maintenance activities.
• Cultivate and develop positive working relationships with customers, system users and company
personnel.
• Travel, often on short notice, to customer sites to resolve problems or support other field service
personnel.
• Complete and submit service reports.
• Partner with colleagues to acquire technical guidance needed to problem-solve systems solutions.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
Job Requirements
• 4-year degree (BSc. Engr.) or technical certification in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) or
equivalent technical/scientific disciplines.
• Ability to understand and troubleshoot problems in software, electronics, optics and electron optics,
high voltage, high vacuum, mechanical, and electro-mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of Windows operating environments and word processing and or email applications.
Familiarity with databases or CRM Systems a plus.
• Ability to read and understand electrical or mechanical engineering documentation and schematics.
• Proven ability to work successfully as an individual contributor or as part of a team.
• Good communication skills, able to converse readily in English, both verbally and in writing is a must.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and overseas.
• Frequent overnight travel, domestic and international (average 50%).
